Married

This is what happens if you are a married person with no children and die intestate in Scotland. Around 68% of the UK population do not have a Will...

The surviving spouse inherits:
The first £130,000 of the estate plus plenishings up to £22,000 plus a further £58,000.

The remainder passes to the deceased's parents split with brothers and sisters (if no parents, just brothers/sisters)
if none, to spouse
if none, to aunts and uncles
then Grandparents, or their brothers/sisters.

If there are no traceable blood relatives the balance goes to the Crown.
